Urban Decay Store at City Walk Dubai- Review

You all must be aware by now about the opining of the first stand-alone store for the luxurious beauty brand Urban Decay at City Walk 2, which opened its door to customers on Jan 19th, 2017.
All this while, I have been been purchasing my favorite picks from Urban Decay online or at Sephora stores. But now, with the exclusive brand store for Urban Decay, my excitement has reached to another level 🙂
The Urban Decay Wonderland (yea, that’s what you would feel, ones you enter the store) would be stocking all the latest launches and variety of makeup options to choose from 🙂
The Co—Founder for the Brand ‘Wende’ said: “Makeup is about self-expression, and our new store takes that theme to a whole other level. When we say we went all out, we mean it. From exclusive UD makeup and boutique lifestyle products you won’t find anywhere else to large-scale, over-the-top fixtures, this is HUGE. Today, I would like to share with you my experience on few of my favorite Urban Decay buddies 🙂
Starting with the star product from the brand, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer
This primer does a WONDER JOB!
It helps your eye shadow to last for the entire day, giving it a beautiful texture. I usually apply this with my finger tips and then I can apply the eyeshadow over it.
You can try out and see the difference yourself.
Take your favorite eye shadow and apply it one morning and see the look, finish and the coverage it gives you, also note the number of hours it stays intact. Now next day, use the same shadow, but before that use a little Urban Deacy Primer on your eye lid. NOW, Experience the Difference!
You’ll just love it and then you may never use a eye shadow without a primer 🙂
Your eye shadow will look put and fresh for for the entire day. No amount of humidity will smudge your eye make up.
The texture of the primer is creamy and light weight. Just make sure when you apply the primer, you must not dab it on the eye lid, instead properly blend it on the entire eye lid and crease area. A very little quantity of the product is enough to give full coverage.
I also felt that the primer made my eyeshadow look more intense and pigmented 🙂 Great for the whole day coverage 🙂
Next, I would like to share with you my review on the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
As the name suggest, this products helps your makeup to stay put for the entire day. Its a closing touch to fix your makeup look so you don’t have to worry about in-between touch up’s for the entire day. Isn’t that kool!!
Its a light weight spray which is very easy to apply and doesn’t let your make up smudge or fade. Just take it about 8-10 inches from your face and spray it in ‘T’ motion and then a ‘X’ motion for 2 to 3 times. That covers the main facial area.
The product is ideal for all skin types and would give you the best results no matter if you have dry/oil or sensitive skin 🙂
Urban Decay Setting Spray also gives a smooth finish to your face by covering up on the cakey makeup near the lips or under the eye, making your makeup look flawless.
At this part of the world, most of us are aware of the humidity and heat that we face for over 6 months in a year. Products like these are very essential if we need to look as flawless and perfect for several hours without having to worry about any messy smudging or melting of make up 🙂
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray does not contain any harsh ingredients and is free of Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.
Next, I would like to share with you my review om the hot and gorgeous Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner.
These shimmer liners add to your looks in a big way. They are gorgeous and ideal for your clubbing and party nights. Infact, applying glitter liner on your daily makeup itself is enough for the extra bit we do for those party nights 🙂
These liners are gel based and you can simply apply it over your liner for that intense and gorgeous look. It would take your eye makeup to the next level.
They are quite buildable and sparkly. If you want a simple glitter look, then you can even apply it without your normal eye liner.
It dries instantly on application and stays put. Not to mention, they are long lasting and would last for the entire day without creasing or smudging. You won’t experience any fall outs under your eye as its gel based.
You can also apply a little in the inner corner under your eye, it looks quite pretty 🙂
They are available in 7 gorgeous shades. I like to go for a thin coat, but if you would like to go for a bold look you can go for a thick coat.
It has a thin liner brush which makes application simple. I own the shade “Midnight Cowboy’ which is a beige goldenish shade and looks quite hot.
The glitter is safe, it will not irritate your eyes. It consists of peach and cucumber extract that condition the skin, while carrot extract smooths and softens.
Last but not the least, I would like to share with you my review on the very famous Vice Lipstick by Urban Decay
Available in a wide range, over 100 shades, these gorgeous pieces of beauty are a must-have for all!
The shade range include bright colors, bold colors, nudes, reds, gothic shades, etc.
They have shades in 6 different finishes:
MEGA MATTE: super-intense matte
COMFORT MATTE: our creamiest matte
CREAM: the original: creamy, badass luxury
METALLIZED: cream with a high level of pearl
SHEER: a punch of color with a sheer, shiny finish
SHEER SHIMMER: slightly transparent finish with floating pearl and a smooth texture
The lipstick is extremely pigmented and glides very comfortably on the lips. The shade that I used is in matte and its a gorgeous pink. Shade is “Menance’ Comfort Matte.
The best part is, unlike other matte lipsticks, Urban Decay Vice Lipstick does not dry the lips and while applying you will feel its texture is very creamy and comfortable. After application, it gives a wonderful matte finish.
As mentioned in my previous posts, just make sure that your lips are not chapped while applying matte lipsticks as matte lipsticks give a much gorgeous finish on smooth lips.
You won’t need a touch up for the shade even after several hours of application as its very long lasting.
Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks are formulated with Aloe vera, jojoba, avocado and abassu oils to soften lips and Illipe butter (derived from Malaysian illipe trees) to provide long-lasting moisture as well as Vitamin C and vitamin E.
